Facial massage
A soothing massage of the face, neck and scalp that relaxes the features and brings freshness back to the complexion.
The face carries more of our tension than we realise: a clenched jaw, a furrowed brow, temples tightened by screens and concentration. The facial massage I offer starts precisely there. With gentle pressure and slow smoothing strokes I relax the jaw, the area around the eyes, the forehead and the temples, then move down to the neck and shoulders, where the face so often braces itself.
I work with organic plant oil chosen for your skin, or without oil if you prefer. The strokes alternate effleurage, gliding pressure and tiny light pinches that wake the skin without ever pulling it. The scalp is included, and that is often where the relaxation becomes complete; many clients drift off at that point. The complexion comes out rested, the features smoother, the eyes more open.
I offer it in 60 minutes, the ideal length for the face, neck, shoulders and scalp without anything feeling rushed. The 90 and 120-minute sessions pair it with a back or full-body massage for a genuinely complete session. At the Antibes studio or at your place, the massage is given lying comfortably on my table, in soft light and complete quiet.
What this massage brings
- A relaxed jaw and forehead, visibly softer features
- A fresher, brighter complexion by the end of the session
- A quick quietening of the mind, often to the point of sleep
- Neck, shoulders and scalp included
- A precious rest for eyes tired by screens
Who it is for
- You clench your jaw or your forehead feels tight by the end of the day
- You spend your days in front of a screen and your eyes are tired
- You want a rested complexion before an evening or an event
- You would rather have a massage without undressing
Good to know
- Come without make-up if you can, or allow a few minutes to remove it at the studio; I provide what you need.
- Tell me about reactive skin, an allergy, ongoing dermatological treatment or a recent aesthetic procedure: I adapt the oil and the strokes, or suggest waiting.
- If you wear contact lenses, it is more comfortable to take them out before the session.
Questions about this massage
Does a facial massage replace a beauty facial?
No, they are two different things. A beauty facial cleanses, exfoliates and nourishes the skin with products. My facial massage works the muscles and the relaxation: it complements a facial very well, but its first aim is to release the features and the mind. You leave with a fresh complexion, without products or masks.
Can I combine it with a back massage?
Yes, that is the most common use of the 90-minute session: half an hour on the back and shoulders, then the face, neck and scalp. In 120 minutes, the facial massage closes a full-body session. Mention it when booking so I can prepare the right oils for each area.
Is it suitable for men?
Absolutely, and I see more and more men for it. A beard is no problem at all; I simply adapt the strokes and the amount of oil. The release of the jaw and the scalp is often what my male clients appreciate most.
