Signature CK
My emblematic massage: a bespoke composition of techniques, built around your body on the day.
The Signature CK is the massage I have refined over the years, and the one clients most often come back for. There is no fixed sequence. Before we start, I take a few minutes to understand where your tension sits, how you have been sleeping and what your body has been through lately. That conversation shapes the whole session, which is why no two are ever quite the same.
The techniques flow into one another without a break: long Californian strokes to settle you, Swedish kneading where a muscle is holding on, very light draining movements down the legs, slower and firmer work on the knots across the back and shoulders. I adjust the pressure continuously, guided by what I feel under my hands and by what you tell me, and I only ever use certified organic oils.
Depending on what you need, the session can cover the back, legs, arms, hands, feet and scalp, as well as the glutes with your consent: an area that works hard every time you sit or walk, and is rarely given any attention. In 75 minutes I work the whole body with extra time on one priority area; in 90 minutes, nothing is hurried and every part gets its due.
What this massage brings
- Eases muscular tension across the back, shoulders and legs
- A marked drop in stress and accumulated fatigue
- Deep relaxation that carries on well after you leave
- A massage built around your body, never a standard routine
- Attention to the areas usually forgotten: glutes, hands, feet, scalp
Who it is for
- You carry tension from desk work, driving or long hours on screens
- You sleep badly or feel wound up and running on empty
- You are not sure which massage to choose and would rather leave it to me
- You are new to CK Massage and want to start with the signature
How it unfolds
- A few minutes of conversation about your expectations and sensitive areas
- Comfortable set-up on the table, fresh linen, an organic oil chosen with you
- Long enveloping strokes to bring the body down a gear
- Focused work on tension, with pressure adjusted as we go
- A gentle close on the hands, feet or scalp, time permitting
- A quiet moment to get up, a glass of water, a few pointers for the days ahead
Good to know
- Please tell me about pregnancy, recent surgery, an injury or a skin condition: I adapt the session or suggest you check with your doctor before booking.
- Work on the glutes is never assumed. It happens only with your explicit consent, and you stay covered on any area not being massaged.
- Avoid a heavy meal just before the session and, if you can, keep some quiet time afterwards to let the relaxation settle.
Questions about this massage
How is the Signature CK different from a Californian or Swedish massage?
Californian and Swedish each follow a defined technique with its own rhythm and pressure. The Signature CK brings them together and blends them with other movements, depending on what I sense during the session. It is a massage composed for you rather than a technique applied as written.
Should I book 75 or 90 minutes?
In 75 minutes I cover the whole body and give extra time to the area that needs it most, usually the back or shoulders. Ninety minutes lets me go further everywhere without rushing, and include the scalp and feet at the end. For a first visit, 75 minutes is an excellent starting point.
Can I ask you to avoid or focus on certain areas?
Of course, that is the whole point of this massage. We talk it through at the start, and you can tell me at any moment during the session. The abdomen, face or glutes, for instance, are only worked on if you want them to be.
